William G. Winget

Mr. Winget received his B.A. in English from Georgetown University in 1981 and a Masters of Arts degree in history in 1982. He received his J.D. in 1986 from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was named to the Moot Court Senior Board.
Mr. Winget is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in addition to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Districts of New Jersey and Connecticut. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Practice Section) and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. Mr. Winget serves on the PLUS Communications Committee, supervising the editorial content of the PLUS Journal as to banking and fidelity/surety matters.
Christopher Luca, CPCU, RPLU

Chris is a senior vice president at OneBeacon Insurance Group, where he has broad
accountabilities in underwriting all lines of Financial Institutions business.
He oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive Financial Institution insurance solutions for clients of all sizes, both public and private, including security broker dealers and captive agents, insurance companies, banks, insurance agents and brokers, investment advisors, mutual funds, hedge funds, family offices, real estate investment trusts, business development companies, private equity and venture capital firms, and other miscellaneous financial institutions.
Chris has over 15 years of professional experience; first, as an underwriter at AIG, then spent the last six at Everest Specialty Underwriters where he helped start up operations in 2009. He is a graduate of Loyola University in Maryland and a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and CPCU Society.

Mercedes Colwin is a partner in the New York office of Gordon & Rees. She handles a wide variety of litigation, including employment law, commercial litigation, class actions, products liability, professional liability, wage and hour class actions, civil rights violations and criminal law.
Ms. Colwin has successfully tried 48 cases to verdict in various jurisdictions throughout the country. Ms. Colwin regularly defends corporate executives from Fortune 500 companies accused of wrongdoing including claims of sexual misconduct. Prior to private practice, Ms. Colwin served as an Administrative Law Judge for the New York State Division of Human Rights.
During her nine years of service, while a partner at a major regional New York law firm, she presided over three thousand cases brought under the federal and state discrimination laws.
